A Learning Wonderland For Children With Special Needs
My students need some basic materials such as new carpets, shelves for their learning materials, paint, and crayons in order to help them reach their learning potential.
"Be the change you want to see in the world," Mahatma Gandhi said, and my students apply this quote in my classroom every day as they overcome their disabilities and learn in their own unique ways.
Please help me achieve a learning wonderland for these beautiful children!
My students are ages 3-5, and have different learning needs.
They love school and are excited to come to a place where they feel valued every day. My students are caring, fun, smart, creative, and funny. They love to learn, and most learn in a different way, which is why it is important to provide them with an optimal learning environment full of different learning materials to fit their own individual learning style.
My Project
It saddens me to see how the economic crisis has directly affected the classrooms, especially a class for students with autism. It is imperative that these students have a variety of materials, and my students do not even have the necessities--like paint, paper, and a clean rug to sit on during play time. These materials will give my students the opportunity to reach their maximum learning potential.
Early intervention is the optimal time to directly make a positive impact on students with special needs' development and learning.
Having basic materials as paint, clean carpets, and shelves without holes, makes reaching such young students more possible. Having needed supplies in the classroom also gives them the necessary tools to reach their own individual goals. Please help me achieve a learning wonderland for these beautiful children!
