My Students
Each year, we have more and more students ready to read Accelerated Reader books at these early levels. It is difficult to find books at those emergent levels that the children enjoy reading. These books will help to add to our collection of favorites for beginning readers.
The students at Wekiva are so excited about reading!!! I love when they come into the library and find that perfect book right at their needed level. It is my goal to add more lower-level books so that even those beginning independent readers can feel the excitement of finding that perfect book and reading it by themselves.
My Project
Students who can pick up a book at their level, and be successful, will gain confidence as readers, and foster a love of reading that will last a lifetime. I can't wait to share these new books with our younger children! These books will allow more and more kindergarten and first grade students to feel confident about their reading skills.
Starting with the very youngest of our students, we can inspire their love of reading. They will use these books to begin their Accelerated Reading program, that will follow them throughout their entire time with us at Wekiva Elementary School. A positive start makes all the difference in the world. Please help us to get our students off to a wonderful start!
