My Students

Here we are in the piano lab. All the students are waiting patiently to participate in the enriching activity that the teacher just modeled patiently to participate in the enriching activity that the teacher just modeled.

YEAH - time to put on our headphones and get busy.

OH NO! The ear pads just fell off my headphones!... My students are very talented and eager to learn young musicians in grades 1-8. I love working with these kids. The gains they've made in such a short time made me acutely aware of the inherent delight that all children take in exploring and learning music, and accomplishing goals.

My Project

We need new headphones for our pianos so that the students can hear themselves play and the teacher directions at the same time. Students frequently use headphones during lab activities. Due to the age of the headphones, students are experiencing difficulties with the ear pads falling off when putting on or taking off the headphones. As the Piano Specialist, I feel responsible for ensuring that all students in our school have equal access to the various resources that are available. For students to fully utilize the lab, replacing the current headphones with the new headphones is a priority.

Students need and deserve access to reliable equipment.

The integration of technology resources is an effective means of helping students master content and become life-long learners. Reliable equipment is a necessary component of an effective educational setting.
