This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Heroes wanted and needed! My students need to believe that someone cares about their education. My students have to decide between school supplies and home supplies and home wins every time. Please be our heroes and help us get the supplies we need to learn and grow.
I have bright students, who love to learn.
I work at a title 1 school in GA. A title 1 school is a school with a majority of the students receive free or reduce lunch. My school is a 100% free and reduce lunch. What that means is our students can't afford to pay for lunch. What that means to me, and I hope to you, is that they can't afford school supplies either. My students are working hard to my AYP. With your help and support they will succeed.
My Project
The basic supplies I ask for will go far in helping my students reach their goal of high achievement in the second grade. Pencils will allow my students to practice everyday skill taught in class. The art supplies will inspirer creativity in every area of learning. From writing their own mini novels to creating science collages of the moon's phases. They will create maps for social studies and graph their success in math.
There has been a lot of cuts in education.
Supplies are so important to achieving success in education, but that is the first thing to get cut. Unfortunately, many of my students can not afford to by the everyday supplies they need to be successful. I truly believe in this need for help, which is why I try so hard get my students everything they need to be successful. This may seem like it has little impact, but the difference it makes to these students is amazing.
