This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My second graders are always moving and learning. They love using hands on materials to learn. I need to document this learning with a digital camera.

My students take second grade very seriously.

They work hard and are motivated to learn as much as possible. I use hands on projects in science and math and reader's theaters in reading a social studies to help keep them working as hard as possible.

My Project

I need a digital camera so I can document the work and learning that happens in the classroom. In science we are growing potatoes and it would be great to take a digital picture each day so students can compare the growth.

There are countless uses for a digital camera in the classroom.

It is a tool that I will use daily to record and document learning in a fun and instantaneous way. The photographs that I take will allow the students to observe their work and learn from it.
