My Students

Sixth graders at our school are eager to grow their thinking, questioning, researching, and communicating skills. They want to know why they are learning, and how it relates to them today. They are beginning to transition from being egocentric to becoming community minded, and are ever so interested in current events.

Our students are ready to get out and activate for what is needed whether the activism helps humanity, the environment, or our local community.

Our students are the future!

My Project

Students love magazines with colorful photos, graphics, and online accessory material. Junior Scholastic Magazine is published twice per month, and incorporates the most current events happening around the world. Often, the articles incorporate the history of these current events, in great depth, including the different perspectives of all those involved.

Junior Scholastic Magazine provides access to high interest, eye catching, current events that engage students in the world around them.

This resource provides a spring board to get sixth graders reading, thinking, questioning, researching, and communicating ideas that help their community.
