Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are mesmerized by technology and the unlimited projects that can be completed using technology! With an old building and no budget, it makes it hard to excite the kids!

I teach a special education class in a city in New York State.

Three of the students in my class have autism, and three of my students are learning disabled. They are all excited about learning - it's the matter of finding something new and exciting to capture their attention!

My Project

I have requested an Apple iPad and case that I can use with my students. Apple has introduced educational "apps" that my students can use in class to enhance their learning. Students will be able to use the iPad to demonstrate their learning as well. By using the requested adapter, we can hook the iPad up to the projector that we have in our classroom. The students will be so excited to have this portable learning tool!!

I sincerely appreciate your consideration in supporting this project.

With the population of students in my class it takes close to a miracle to grab their attention. I feel with the iPad I will be able to do just that - and the possibilities are endless!!
