Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

It is so hard for everyone to see the book or teacher's example at one time. So what happens to those that have a hard time waiting their turn? They usually start to lose focus on the subject!

My name is Mrs. S and I teach kindergarten at a Title One school.

My students are wonderful children and they always seem excited to come to school and learn. A lot of them did not attend preschool however and it is very hard for them to maintain attention when we are having whole group instruction.

My Project

With the addition of an Elmo, projector, and projector cart my students will better be able to see the "big picture". We will be able to do more fun activities and they won't have to fuss about who is going to sit closest so they can see better and I won;t have to constantly hear..."But I can't see it!". This will also better prepare my students by allowing us the opportunity to do more whole group stuff, which is how they will do things in first grade next year.

I find that the area of technology is where we are most lacking at my school due to lack of funding.

However this is one area they assess us on when the come to our room for observations. Please help me and my students by donating, even if it is just a little, to our project. Thanks!
