My school is an Illinois public school. We have over 1300 students, 95.4% of whom are low income Students. I am a first year Mandarin teacher. I teach Chinese to 9 classes from 4th grade to 8th grade, a total of 270 students.

The students are excited to learn to speak a foreign language and to learn about another country. Seeing is believing. An LCD projector would bring China alive to the classroom. An LCD projector is not just an LCD projector. It's a vehicle. An LCD projector can instantly transport us to cities and villages in China, to see how the kids live in China, to listen to the music and watch the dances, to see how people there celebrate festivals, and to meet the Big Pandas and to see the beautiful scenery in China!

It's simple. Take one LCD projector + my laptop and Voila! you have a magical classroom experience. With the power of current technology, educators have more awesome resources at their fingertips than ever before. Teaching today can easily be a rounder, fuller, more magical experience than ever imaginable. All we need is the missing link: an LCD projector.

The kids would be surely thrilled to have an LCD projector in their classrooms. Your kindness is making a great impact on 270 kids. They may not remember everything they learned in school, but they would surely have a lifetime memory of some of the video clips and pictures that were shown to them in the classroom, thanks to an LCD projector and YOU!
