My class is a diverse group of learners with all types of needs. We are an urban school that has very little technology. I have one working computer in my classroom. My class has students from all backgrounds. I feel that our school should not be a dumping ground for technology. My students deserve the same resources as all other children in the United States.

I can picture it now, 5 teams of students; working together to put together a PowerPoint presentation on simple machines; Searching the Internet for pictures of the various regions of the united states; Using Microsoft word to publish their most recent and fabulous literary essays. When I picture my classroom with HP ProBooks, I see students working as a team and having fun as they have a world of information at their finger tips.

Having 5 HP ProBooks in my classroom will allow one ProBook for each table of students to work together on projects. It will also allow me to set up learning centers, or PowerPoint presentations for students of various learning levels. I can also allow a student who has been absent to review missed work. I can't wait to see my students hovering over a ProBook in excitement!

My classroom has been a dumping ground for technology. The technology in my classroom is there because I literally beg my neighbors and friends for it when they are about to throw it out or recycle it. I've even taken a printer from a trash pile! My students deserve better and you can help make that happen! Thank you!
