My students need 3 photo printers, with photo paper and ink.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Pease's classroom raised $584

The Lab is an Arts & Wellness-based program in Minnesota. Our students are in special education, grades 7-12 and have significant behavioral/emotional struggles. They are affected by post-traumatic stress, trauma, ADHD, conduct disorders, anxiety and/or depression. For many of our students, their behavioral/mental health struggles are linked to challenging circumstances of living in poverty. 85% of students receive free and reduced lunch; the majority (80%) are male and youth of color, primarily African-American. Through 1×1 mentorships, small groups, and large group enrichment experiences, youth are inspired, encouraged, and empowered to discover, understand, and share their voices and the truth of their lives. At The Lab, youth practice social skills, find healthy ways to understand/express themselves, and practice healthy coping skills.
We have been the fortunate recipients of digital cameras via DonorsChoose. Now it's time for my students to take the next step in digital photo editing and show their work to a broader audience. Our students at The Lab want to create a Gallery Show of their self-portrait photographs, but we don't have the printers, photo paper, or ink to support this important next step.
This project requires that we have 3 photo printers, along with photo paper and ink for each printer.
Being able to print out their work on quality photo paper is key to completing their self-portrait project. Once photos are printed, students will work as a team to create their gallery show, and invite parents, teachers and classmates to view their photography show at the end of our unit. They will develop their creative eye as they find just the right shot, and learn teamwork as they put together their final showcase and gallery of photography for the celebration.
Please help us take this next step at The Lab. Most of my students do not have access to things like digital cameras and printers, the things that many of us take for granted. Give my students a chance to see, hold, and show off their success in such a concrete fashion -- a glossy print of their photography!
