"We want to take a magical field trip through the food chain! Our class loves the Magic School Bus series because it allows us to experience a science concept through the eyes of Mrs. Frizzle's class.

We incorporate these novels into our reading lessons. This allows us to learn more about what we are studying in science while practicing comprehension and reading skills. The problem is our books have been loved and used so much that the pages are falling right out of the spines!

My students need 25 copies of the book, "Magic School Bus-Food Chain Frenzy." You can help us join Mrs. Frizzle and her gang as they become part of the food chain! What is the difference between a predator and prey? What happens to an ecosystem if one part of the food chain is removed? How do humans protect and harm the ecosystems and food chains around us?

We'll never know unless we get your help! Only you can make the difference between learning about food chains through a text at school and sending us to a far away land that is exciting and magical!

My students need 25 copies of the book "Magic School Bus-Food Chain Frenzy".

Dear sandra, Allison K. , Ed and Duke Energy - Carolinas,
I cannot express the joy and excitement I felt when I heard the news that my project was fully funded. It is wonderful to know that members of our community and beyond are willing to support education.

The books you have funded will enable my class to discover the food chain in a fun, exciting way. We can go beyond the boundaries of the text and step into a novel that lets our imaginations soar and curiosities fuel our desire to inquire. In addition to expanding our science curriculum, students will be learning literary skills such as comprehension, sequencing, point of view, setting, and many more!

Thank you again for your gracious donations. I cannot wait to share the good news with my class and receive our new books!

With gratitude,
Ms. S.
