Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach 9th grade Language Arts in a high poverty inner-city school district school that is focusing on preparing students for postsecondary education.

My students attend a school that was built in the late 1950's that needs to be modernized and brought into the 21st century. Despite their socioeconomic status, many show a desire to go to college.

This ELMO will allow me to work on the skills they desperately need the most, writing skills! Allowing the students to watch me proofread and revise will improve their writing skills immensely!

Supporting this project will further the chances of our students becoming productive citizens who can articulate their proposals and thinking. Communication is key.
