Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach language arts and literature studies to mostly low-income, Hispanic middle school students.
I would like to incorporate more technology in my classroom to engage students in both writing and grammar especially. Not all students connect well with these areas, and letting my students manipulate grammar and different parts of their writing through many of the fantastic online programs will greatly appeal to my kids.
An LCD projector will allow me to continue to find fun and engaging grammar games that are truly effective in garnering my students' attention and helping them to gasp the skills they desperately need to learn. I also have a fantastic DVD-rom that we can look at as a class on the projector, that will allow students to dissect and examine writing. They can see what is and is not effective in their writing, in an attention-getting manner.
You can make it possible for my students to deeply engage with their writing and learn proper grammar by incorporating it with technology!
Nearly all students from low‑income households
