Help Make Reading Come Alive!!!

My students need a variety of high interest books on CD to increase their fluency skills.

I am a 4th grade teacher in a Title 1 School District. Students at our school are faced with many challenges, but they come every day ready to learn. My students are fantastic kids!!

A big area of need in my classroom is in reading. Many kids have a really tough time with reading fluency. Some kids read very slowly and by the time they finish a page, they forgot what they just read. Reading fluency goes hand in hand with comprehension skills. Usually, if a child's reading fluency level is low, their comprehension skills are also low. This makes reading very difficult. One of my goals is to increase their reading fluency. If their reading fluency is better, the kids will want to read more. I really want my students to LOVE to read!

My students need a set of student read along books and CD's. The set comes with 12 high interest books and CD's. I know these items would help increase my student's fluency and comprehension skills. Listening to books on CD and following along really brings the characters in the story to life!
