"I am thrilled to be the classroom teacher of a wonderful group of third graders who eagerly put their all into every lesson. We are a class of 22 students who have come to the United States from all over the world. We love to share experiences, stories, languages and learning.

This is a group of students who aim high and work hard. Unfortunately, I do not have the personal budget to provide them with the variety of quality classroom library books that they so richly deserve. My students are a creative bunch who devour books of all genres. I don't want my less-than-glamorous classroom library to limit the students' access and exposure to quality, contemporary literature during independent reading time.

I have pored over several recommended book lists and have developed a wish list of books that I know will excite and engage my students. Included in the inventory are classics, award winners and books written specifically to engage boys. The variety of genres, subject areas and reading levels represented will help ensure that all students have ready access to books that will pique their interest and imagination.

Your generosity will help a phenomenal group of learners become even more excited about reading. Without question, this is the gift that will never stop giving. On behalf of my students, we thank you for your support. We can't wait to get reading!

My students need 50+ quality classroom library books, including a variety of fiction, novel sets, non-fiction texts, picture books and biographies.

Dear The Spanos Family and Sally,
As a teacher, there is nothing more rewarding than watching kids get excited about reading. Since receiving your generous donation to our classroom library, I have watched every student in the room become a more engaged reader. Students who have always been voracious readers are now even more excited to dive into our selection of books - eager to share each new literary find with friends. Students who have traditionally been more reluctant readers are sidling over to the classroom library much more frequently and reading with genuine enthusiasm.

In addition to instilling a renewed love of reading, the diversity and range of books in our new classroom library has truly impacted the quality of student conversation. I have noticed it formally in small reading groups, and informally through students' casual dialogue about the books being read. I regularly see students fall in love with a book from the classroom and then go into the school library to find more books by the same author.

I truly cannot express the difference that you have made. In a class full of students who deserve nothing but the best, you have helped me deliver a classroom library that is making a difference! Thank you.

With gratitude,
Mrs. H.

Dear The Spanos Family and Sally,

It is with a deep sense of gratitude that I write to thank you for your generous donation to our classroom. I can assure you that you have given a gift that will continue to give for years to come. I cannot wait to see my students dive into these books! In our classroom, we always say that 'good readers never stop reading'. By giving the gift of books to our classroom, you have helped ensure that a very hard-working group of students will be visiting our classroom library every day with a renewed sense of excitement and energy.

The selection of books that you have funded will appeal to all learners in the classroom. The books will help us become better readers and will give us a platform on which to build new literacy skills. On behalf of my students, I thank you once again for making our classroom an even better place to learn!

With gratitude,
Mrs. H.
