We are a class of 22 students who have come to the United States from all over the world. We love to share experiences, stories, languages and learning.
This is a group of students who aim high and work hard. Unfortunately, I do not have the personal budget to provide them with the variety of quality classroom library books that they so richly deserve. My students are a creative bunch who devour books of all genres. I don't want my less-than-glamorous classroom library to limit the students' access and exposure to quality, contemporary literature during independent reading time. I have pored over several recommended book lists and have developed a wish list of books that I know will excite and engage my students. Included in the inventory are classics, award winners and books written specifically to engage boys. The variety of genres, subject areas and reading levels represented will help ensure that all students have ready access to books that will pique their interest and imagination. Your generosity will help a phenomenal group of learners become even more excited about reading. Without question, this is the gift that will never stop giving.
