"I teach 7th & 8th grade science students at inner city low income school in California.

All of my students will be participating in the Greater Science & Engineering Fair 2010. I have two 7th grade and two 8th grade classes for a total of 150 students.

In order to participate my students each need a binder and presentation board. Every student will be required to select a topic and conduct an experiment using the scientific method. Without the basic tools(binder & board) my students would not be qualified to compete.

Your help will ensure all my students, regardless of family income, be able to compete with their peers at the Science Fair. Our school had 7 out of 35 students last year selected to go downtown and compete with all the other schools in the area. This was a very valuable & exciting experience and for each of them. This coming year with 150 students competing I"m hoping we will be able to include more students.

My students need 150 binders and 150 presentation boards.

Dear Donor,

I can't fully express my joy, excitement and thanks for your donation to my project.

All of my 7th and 8th grade science students will now be able to participate in our region's middle school science fair. The tools that you have funded will enable my students to display and present their science fair projects.

I can't wait to see and hear their excitement when their projects are assembled and presented.

Thanks again,

7th&8th grade science teacher

With gratitude,
Mrs. M.
