Dynamic Chemistry

My students need several important equipment and supply items including a precision scale, ph testers, periodic table charts, and chemical kits for experiments to fully experience Dynamic Chemistry.

Welcome to Chemical Science! Our class needs your help to bring chemistry to life for 11th graders who have a strong desire to use chemicals and equipment in order to make this required academic subject practical and meaningful.

In these economic times, our school is making difficult decisions. In science, this means that only students in the advanced placement and honors level classes will be adequately supplied. My students, who often struggle academically, are craving meaningful learning opportunities, but are left with only books and lectures. What better way to make a difference this year than to inspire my students with fun and relevant labs like testing kitchen products or seeing their eyes light up when they cause chemicals to react. Without your help, my students are destined to be left behind - and for us, this means a real risk that they will drop out.

My project requests a number of basic items including chemicals for reaction experiments like testing common kitchen items, balances, and periodic tables and will give my program the boost it needs to unify student opportunities in the laboratory.

A high percentage of my juniors are at risk to drop out of school during the course of the year. Your support will make science - and school - more interesting and useful. You can help make a difference and inspire my students to stay in school.
