I teach Grades 5-12 band, which includes marching, pep, concert, jazz, woodwind and brass ensembles, and 5-12 vocal choir in an independent rural area school with a student body of less than 700.

Our band program is in a "rebuilding" state after being on a five year hiatus. We are trying very hard to build our program into the competitive group we know we can become, however, due to the size of our school we are limited in regards to buying high dollar items such as low brass instruments. Without this item, it will be impossible for the group to perform the collegiate level of music needed to remain competitive against other neighboring districts.

By obtaining this tuba, we will be able to enhance our musical ensembles both on and off the field! Also, by having a tuba in our ensembles, we will have the opportunity to perform more advance pieces of music literature, which will prepare all of our musicians to prepare for collegiate level performance.
