Create a Print-Rich Classroom for my Special Needs Students
My students need 14 basic classroom supplies ranging from crayons and markers to construction paper and storage trays in order to promote a print-rich, interactive classroom.
Please help me promote an enriching learning environment for my students! I teach sixth grade English Language Arts in a high poverty school in New York.
I teach an inclusion class comprised of half general education and half special education students. Many of my students have trouble focusing for long periods of time and I find that a print-rich, intellectually stimulating classroom helps them to better stay involved and interested in the lesson.
I'm asking for a plethora of supplies that will help me create an environment that will excite and stimulate the minds of my young scholars. Ink for my printer will allow me to print text and photos related to our subject; construction paper and a paper trimmer will be useful in both class projects and decorating bulletin boards; and glue, crayons, and markers will allow the students to take part in decorating the classroom. Once we are done creating materials, colorful storage bins and packaging tape will allow me and the children to organize and showcase their work.
Your help will ensure that my students learn in an environment that is invigorating and full of their own work, which will remind them of all that they are able to accomplish!
