My deployment club needs 5 digital cameras to use to learn to send photos to their loved ones serving in Iraq/Afghanistan.

This project is for my Deployment Club. Our school is a community school housed near one of the largest military bases in the United States. Many of our students as well as staff have parents or spouses who are proudly and bravely serving our great nation in combat zones.

Our school currently has very outdated digital cameras. The cameras use floppy disc to store the pictures. Problem is.... most of our computers don't have a floppy disc drive!

In order for the children to learn to send pictures through email or make a photo cd to send to their loved ones, we need cameras that are compatible with the software we use on our computers. We would like to be able to use these cameras to help the children learn how to take pictures and send them as attachments to their family members overseas. We have clubs on Friday afternoons, during school hours so that everyone can participate, and I would like to be able to offer this technology to the Deployment Club.

By giving to this project you will be giving children the opportunity to document their lives for their family members who aren't able to be here for all of those important moments in life. The children will be able to take the pictures, download them, and send them as attachments all with this technology that you will be providing.
