"I am a new teacher who teaches special education in a low income, high poverty community.

My special needs students need visual aides and a print-rich classroom. Because most of them struggle with reading, it is important for them to have a classroom full of large text and visual reminders.

Having a flip chart easel, flip chart paper, and colorful flip chart markers will allow me to create large visual aides and large text that I can post in my classroom and use to help explain new concepts and lessons.

Your support will make learning easier for my special needs students. Their educations will be enriched by having large text and visual aides available to them.

My students need a flip chart easel, flip chart paper and a flip chart marker set.

Dear Dianne, Samuel R., Darien, Peg & Tom, Kim, Andrea, Mib, Allen and Theresa, Kimberly, Dawn, Amanda, Sean and Amanda, Jim, Ryan, Katie, matt, Evonne, Steve, Deena, HP and Anonymous Donor,

Thank you all for your generosity. Your donations toward a new classroom easel are very much appreciated. The students and I are very excited about gaining this important classroom tool!

This new easel will help me teach many lessons, but will mostly be used for writer's workshop. The students get excited about writer's workshop and have been working hard toward improving their writing skills. Now, I will be able to demonstrate clearly for them what writing skills I am teaching. I can predominately display my think-aloud lessons for all of the students to see. They will then have bold, visual reminders to help them during the writing process.

Just know that you have helped a community, a school, a teacher, and students in need. Thank you for your support.

With gratitude,
Ms. L.
