My students need 16 copies of "The Outsiders" by S. E. Hinton. Though my classes range from 20-30 students, we only have 19 copies of the book. A few copies need to be replaced due to over use.

"Stay gold, Ponyboy, stay gold." I teach 8th grade students in a very low income school.

The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton is a book that consistently captures the attention of my 8th grade students. I teach the book at the end of every shool year. This year I found that we only had 19 copies of the book left in the building. A few of copies are in such poor condition that they have no covers and are being held together by masking tape.

We need 16 copies of The Outsiders novel for the students to each have a copy to read while in the classroom. This will allow students to connect with a classic story and be touched by characters they can very much relate to.

This donation will ensure every student can share the experience of a classic, engaging, and inspirational book s the a to change their lives. The story shows how even the worst situations can teach you life lessons and how strong anyone can be with the right motivation.
