Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I am a special education teacher and I work in our redirection classroom with grades 6-8. My class is for students with emotional and behavior challenges.

My students struggle with social skills. Things you and I take for granted, like knowing how to make friends, making simple requests, or even just communicating with peers, these kids really struggle with.

I have been researching social skill curriculum and am extremely excited to find Trevor Romain. He has put together an encompassing program that promotes not only social skills, but other areas as well. (Writing, reading, journaling, real-life scenarios)

I realize this curriculum is pricey, BUT I wouldn't be asking for funds if we could afford it. The other cool thing is that we can use it year after year with students coming into the program.
