My speech and hearing impaired students need an audio enhancement system. This system will allow those students with hearing loss and speech delays to clearing hear the teacher speaking over the everyday noises of the classroom.

I teach full-day kindergarten at a primary school (K-2) in a low socio-economic county in rural North Carolina.

Our primary school has many children with hearing impairments and speech delays. Often these children can not "hear" the teacher over the normal classroom noises. The students strain to hear the lessons. This would be alleviated if the teachers has audio enhancement equipment.

The audio enhancement equipment consists of a microphone the teacher wears and a speaker unit in the classroom. All students benefit from the audio enhancement by having the "white noise" of environment dulled out. Students will be able to hear the teacher and focus on the task at hand.

Please consider this project. With your help special needs students and their classmates will be able to enjoy learning time with ease instead of straining to hear the teacher. The students would be so grateful and happy! Thank you.
