I currently teach preschool students with mild to severe disabilities in a low income community.
Recently, with the expansion of the program and budget cuts, we have not been able to purchase furniture for our students in many years.
Our classroom needs 12 chairs to make Circle Time successful. This is a very important part of our school day. This is where we spend so much time focusing on communication and daily living skills. We begin and end our day in this area.
Currently, our students have difficulty sitting in the chairs that we have in our classroom. This makes it hard to teach during Circle Time, which is such a vital part of our day. Your donation would make it possible for this room of students with special needs to be able to sit up straight with both feet on the floor and focus on instruction.
