Don't you love it when you go into work and you see that it has been noticed that you have done a great job at something. Sometimes your boss displays a note or your accomplishment is in the paper- doesn't it make you feel good. As a pre-kindergarten teacher at a "Hidden Gem" inner city PK-grade 1 school in Western New York I always look for new and fantastic ways to improve the ways in which I teach my children and display to others all that they have learned. I am asking for a fantastic generous donor(s) to purchase some pocket charts and activity charts to be used everyday in my classroom. The children will be able get up and show other all that they know about the letter of the day or the daily news. The children will also be able to show others what they know by having their name displayed on the "I know this" pocket charts. Through this type of positive reinforcement and hands on teaching I think that the children who attend my pre-kindergarten program will truly benefit from these fantastic new teaching and learning tools. I hope that someone else be3lieves in us too and helps us show others in our building all that we know:)
