My students need a class set (30 copies) of Current Science magazine.

Integrated Science III is an all inclusive science class for mostly juniors and 3rd and last in the series of a science strand. Most of the students in this class have voiced their choice of continuation of education in either vo-tech school or associate degrees.
These students have to take the FCAT Science test their junior year. There are essay sections within the test and I think this is a very good practice for the students to read science based articles and practice writing essays on each subject. It has been said that soon the FCAT Science test will be required for passing high school.
Many of my students (approximately 160 each year/75 each semester) come in to class with the idea that science is a difficult subject and that it does not relate to them personally. One class set of 30 magazines would be sufficient to accommodate their reading of science literature.
What I have explored from ordering previous editions of science magazines is that the topics are very current and the articles help bridge the relationship between our lives and various science concepts on a student-friendly level. It helps them realize how amazing science really is and that everything they do during their daily activities are a reflection of scientific concepts.
Your help will enable me to provide my students with the additional resources to be successful in science courses.
