"Keeping students captivated and ready to learn is no small task."-Edutopia My students are in need of two Chromebooks to use in their project based learning assignments for conducting research and creating digital projects that will engage and motivate them helping them reach their greatest potential.
To demonstrate their learning, my students enjoy creating digital media like: videos, posters, presentations, reports, WebQuest, and more!
With the Chromebooks, my students will: be able to access our Google classroom, collaborate with peers on assignments, research an endless amount of topics, complete webquests, make videos, create posters, and much more. By adding two Chromebooks it will greatly increase our class's access to technology allowing students to utilize content rich websites such as Study Island, Lexia Core 5, Symphony math just to name a few. This access will allow all students to push forward at their own pace and make the maximum possible growth in a year of learning.
My Project
My students need two Chromebooks. The challenge is having enough devices for students to follow their own customized learning paths. My students are eager to learn, work hard, and make their own discoveries in our project based learning environment! My school is a Title I school and all of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. In our small, tight-knit community, our students deserve to have access to the world and to learn appropriate digital citizenship because outside of school they may not be given this opportunity to maximize their learning!
The addition of these two Chromebooks to our classroom will give my students consistent global access to an immeasurable amount of knowledge right at their fingertips.
