Our elementary school houses almost 400 students.
We have such amazing, kind, and smart students here. Students come in ready to just be great students! They are great listeners, readers, they take care of our library and each other! I would love for them to have a few new pieces of furniture for them to use for both reading and collaboration.
My Project
Libraries are changing and I feel our library could use some updating. I am requesting four new comfortable chairs for our students to use during their time in the library media center.
Although we have traditional seating in our library, I would love to start acquiring new seating that would provide our students a space to collaborate. They could sit in these chairs with laptops to research together or build a new project! They could sit with our iPads and create a new presentation or share an ebook. They could also use this space for pleasure reading.
I feel every child in our county deserves a great space to learn.
The library should be the hub of all learning-- a space to read quietly, research and find answers, or collaborate and produce. New furniture would really give our students a designated space to do all of these activities.
