It's a Chrome Colored World!

My students need two Acer Chromebooks for daily writing, reading, and math instruction.

My Students

Nothing brings more of a smile to my face than when students are excited to learn. One of the best ways to get them excited is to say, "Grab a Chromebook!"

I teach in a Title 1 school where many of my students do not have access to technology at home; therefore, many times the only time they have to practice and learn technological skills is through integrating it into daily instruction.

When I design any lesson, I prefer to leave it open-ended and let the students decide how they want to solve the problem. They run into many roadblocks, but they persevere through them and learn that using technology is a lot of trial and error similar to math, reading, and writing.

My Project

During math time, these 2 Chromebooks will allow students to collaborate and share their mathematical thinking digitally. Students will also be able to model their thinking through the use of digital math manipulatives. During reading time, these 2 Chromebooks will allow students to use Google Drive to communicate with their small groups. Students will also be able to collaborate through literature circles and discuss what they are reading with each other. During writing time, these 2 Chromebooks will allow students to practice their typing and research skills. The Chromebooks will also allow students to easily draft and edit their writing without many, many rewrites.

Donations to this project will improve the efficiency of our classroom and allow students more access to technology.

Their math, reading, and writing abilities will improve immensely.
