My students learn best in living color! Bright, vibrant hues help them to retain what they have learned.
My students are in a self-contained classroom at a medium-sized school within a large, urban school district.
They are in the first, third and fourth grades and have a variety of disabilities, but that does not stop them from being enthusiastic learners. Studies have shown that students learn best with colorful, engaging learning materials.
Unfortunately, our school district does not pay for color printers, and I have been printing the materials at home, which is becoming expensive.
My Project
With a color printer with cartridges at school, my students will have access to colorful materials with which to learn reading, math and other subjects. They will also be able to print writing and art activities that they have created on the computer. We can also print math and writing assignments as the students have completed them.
With your help, my students will have direct access to a color printer and be able to see their work as soon as they have completed it.
They will become even more engaged and enthusiastic about learning. Who knows what else they may be able to achieve?
