This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

A masterpiece begins with a sharp pencil. My students love to make art and our sharpener is worn out.

My students are crazy and fun.

They love art and making art. We are in a Title I school with limited funds in a small Texas town. We have no art museum and no art supply store, but we don't let that hold us back! Many of my students are at risk kids and I think they are great.

My Project

We have two sections of art classes housed in 2 rooms that are occupied all day long. We sharpen a lot of pencils and would like to have a sharpener in each room that will last for a long time. After hearing about these sharpeners from other art teachers across the country, we decided that these would be the best for our purposes.

My students will no longer be frustrated that they can't sharpen their pencil because our sharpener motor burned out.

Hand-held sharpeners have a tendency to wear out very quickly or get misplaced. Your donation will help us to get the job done quickly, quietly and sharp.
