My Students

Millions of math manipulatives are going unused. Due to lack of storage math manipulatives remain in boxes, locked away in cabinets. A bookshelf and storage cubbies would allow students daily access to manipulatives.

I teach 25 5th grades from a economically low area.

They work very hard to achieve success, while facing many obstacles. My class is a split between exceptional learners and general education students. Students learning levels very drastically, and many time manipulatives are necessary for daily success.

My Project

A bookshelf and storage cubbies would allow students access at any time to manipulatives they may need to help understand their learning. I would like my students to have instant access to these resources and materials essential to their learning. This storage system would give students the ability to access these quickly and safely during the school day. At the moment the materials are put away and unorganized making it impossible for students to access on their own.

A bookshelf and storage bins would allow students access to math manipulatives they need on a daily basis.

Students would have the independence to access the resources they need at any time. This would directly impact their success in the classroom.
