This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a second year Kindergarten teacher and have a class of 18 kindergarteners. This year our classroom is full inclusion. Full inclusion in a kindergarten setting is a new thing for our school.
Being a full inclusion classroom I have a variety of diverse learners. Also, in the state of Alabama we will not be getting any instructional supply money. With no money coming in to help get some of the materials that we will be needing it puts our classroom in a difficult situation. Oceans are a big part of kindergarten. Most of my kids have never stepped outside their own home and with this theme they are allowed to explore the world.
With the ocean theme box, the ocean science learning center, and the sea life learning center, and the ocean magnet board my students can explore the ocean to the greatest depths.
With your support and donation you will be helping these students of many learning needs get the experience that they need to succeed.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
