My project needs 8 stethoscopes and 4 student blood pressure kits.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. R.'s classroom raised $161

The human body is a subject that excites most middle schoolers. It is easy for them to see the relevance of learning how thousands of parts work together to create a healthy, energetic student! As a 7th-grade science teacher, I am very much looking forward to teaching this subject to my students at Rogers-Herr Middle School in Durham, North Carolina.
As part of a unit on the circulatory system, I would love to have my students be able to listen to their heartbeat and determine their blood pressure under different conditions. Students learn science best when it is hands-on and personal, and what could be more personal than actually hearing their own circulatory system in action?
To make this project a reality, we will need student-friendly stethoscopes and blood pressure cuffs.
Thank you for your consideration of this proposal - you can help hundreds of middle-schoolers gain a hands-on understanding of one of the most important systems in their bodies!
