Every morning, my students come into the classroom eager to read the next chapter of our current novel. They are excited to have another chance to take over the classroom with rich discussions! They love that they feel like mini-adults. Their opinions and thoughts are valued and respected. My students even love to write because they write about their "hot topics" and "favorite characters". My students love reading and gaining new knowledge to discuss with their peers. The students know they are in a safe environment to challenge each others' ideas.
