My students are impressionable, talented, creative, and inquisitive learners.Our school site enrolls mainly from the surrounding neighborhood that is high poverty, high crime, and low-income. However,the unfortunate circumstances that surround these kids,is not evident when you walk into our classroom. These students come to school with an excitement and passion to learn. They are eager to hear what activities and adventures are planned for the day and arrive with bright smiles. My students are extremely aware and receptive of the fact that classroom tools are expensive. They value being exposed to resources that are not always available to them at home. They thrive on getting "tablet time" to do research reports, read & listen to stories,play phonics and math intervention and review games,and learn how to type. My students look forward to assessment days because that is the only time we get to use a class set of tablets. Technology motivates students of all backgrounds and abilities to succeed.
