Harding Media Club was established in 2013 after a co-worker and I led a popular summer school course (Snap Shot). This course was offered during the summers of 2012 and 2013 and focused on basic photography skills. Each summer, we had approximately thirty students involved with Snap Shot. We operated on seven cameras that were loaned to us from various teachers in the building. After realizing that students were very interested in learning about photography, I decided to create a club that would continue throughout the school year. Harding Media Club would incorporate photography, journalism, and graphic design. In our first year, we had over eighty applicants and members. We are getting ready to gear up for our second year, and we have distributed over 100 applications! We need help to engage students and instill important skills for their future.
