The students in my class are highly motivated and choose to come to the school for its focus in the arts. 1/3 of my students live in poverty and many of them use school owned instruments in orchestra. All of the students, regardless of socio-economic status, are excited for music and work hard to be successful musicians. They work in class every other day for 75 minutes, and practice at home 5 days per week.
