The use of whiteboards in my classroom is almost a daily activity in my classroom. The whiteboards allow me to see what everyone is doing and to quickly identify the students who need individualized help. Also, with a proper amount of whiteboards, erasers, and markers, students will not be focused on whether they have the materials they need but rather focused on the assigned task. Whiteboards allow them to make mistakes that are easily erased. This will allow students to feel more confident in taking risks while learning the material. By donating to my project, you will not only help increase the attention and focus of all students, but you will ultimately be boosting their confidence. My students are also in need of calculators. Over the years, I have had quite a few calculators break or get lost and I no longer have a full set to provide to my students. While I highly encourage as many students as possible to buy their own calculators, there are still days where students may forget theirs, and several students who are unable to purchase their own calculator. The best way for me to keep track of where all my calculators are and ensure that every student has access to one is to assign a calculator to each student in the class. Currently, I have 20 calculators to loan to students on a day-to-day basis. With an average of 36 students per class, sometimes it is not enough and students end up having to share. Finally, I am in need of a tablet that I can connect to my computer to enable me to move around the classroom while presenting material to students. This will enable my students to give their input through the tablet to present to their peers, too!
