A traditional classroom is not one that my students can work and learn the best in. I am requesting each of these items to make the classroom a more comfortable and flexible learning environment for every child. I plan to give each student 4 working seating options including: traditional chairs, standing areas, floor seating, and stool seating. These options allow my students to choose what way they want to work and how they will be comfortable while doing so. Stools will be stored at the guided reading table, but students will be able to swap their regular chair for one as needed. Students will also have the option to have a kick-band on their chair to get extra fidgets out and keep their blood flowing. The addition of these seating tools will allow my students to maintain focus on their work throughout the day because they are comfortable and motivated in their own personal working spot.
