Currently, I have more students than I do Chromebooks. The research is evident, technology is a necessary component to success in the classroom, and students' future success. Last year, I had a student who had limited experience with technology and within 3 weeks of using a Chromebook, he was confident enough to share a Google doc with our principal, highlighting a sample of his work. I watched this student come out of his shell, confident and PROUD to share his work. This is success! For moments like these, I teach. When you give a student access to a Chromebook, you are giving them the resources to create Google docs, Slides Presentations, unlimited access to educational apps, extensions, and research.
