My classroom consists of students where 98% of the students are eligible for free lunch based on the income of the family. I teach a class that combines special needs students with general education students into one setting. Due to the grave lack of resources in the community, most students, regardless of general education or special education classification, are at least one grade level behind. Classroom environment is essential to an effective and productive day, especially when teaching special needs children.
