My students are ages 4-5 and attend a Title I school where funding is very limited, so often times we do not have access to certain resources that we need in order to offer them the best education. My students are mostly Hispanic, so English is their second language. With the language barrier, I try to present material in different ways by using a lot of hands on experiences and try to give them lots of opportunities to become more independent. Without certain materials, it makes it hard for me to do so. My children are very eager and ready to learn, and by providing them with the hands on experiences, I am better able to connect with them and teach them the skills that they will carry with them later on in life.
