I teach 1st grade in a small coastal town in Alaska. My students and their families live very active lives all year long camping, fishing, hiking, snow-shoeing, and skiing, regardless of the temperature outside. What this community lacks in size, they more than make up for in spirit and a love for life and learning. My students are amazing kids who deserve all the same opportunities as students in a big city. I want to be able to provide a wonderful year of school and give them every opportunity to be successful and have fun!

About my class
