I teach 3rd grade at a K-8 Center. In recent years I've noticed that the Middle School (grades 6-8) have many extra curricular activities and clubs; but not the elementary. This year I started the WP Garden Club for students in grades 3-5. The purpose of this club is to show students how food goes from "farm to table" without an actual a farm and how some of the vegetables and fruits can be used to regrow more food. Hence, empowering students with the knowledge and experience to grow their own food right outside an apartment balcony.
