Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My first graders are amazing! I have 21 hard working Dual Language learners who are trying very hard to learn through Distance Learning.
My incredible students come from a low socioeconomic background with very limited resources available to them at a time when teaching is done through video conferences and online applications.
I want to continue educating my students with daily lessons through zoom. Having the connection with them through remote learning has been challenging, but seeing their smiles melts my heart with happiness.
My Project
AS the world continues to social distance themselves because of COVID-19, everyone is finding ways to stay connected with their students.
I connect with my students daily through zoom and together we work on daily lessons so they can continue growing and learning.
The zooming has been a challenge because have 21 students talking has been difficult to manage. Even if I mute the students, I’ve found it very difficult for me to get through a lesson. The AirPods will help facilitate that my lessons go according by canceling outside noise.
I want to be able to continue students learning and reducing stress by working at a distance and seeing their friends on a daily basis.
The chart paper will allow me to chart activities for my students and the easel will help place at a location that is visible to all.
