My Students

I work with kindergarten students at a wonderful neighborhood school in south Charlotte. We have a diverse student population and we are dedicated to growing each student individually at their own ability level in all content areas.

Our school is unique as it is a personalized learning school, focused on growing the whole child.

We emphasize a growth mindset, setting personal goals, as well as having students track their progress toward those goals. The students at our school are eager learners, who benefit from hands-on experiences.

My Project

Every kindergartener in my classroom of twenty-one has the opportunity to take home leveled books from our classroom library to increase their time in literature. Unfortunately the traveling in between from classroom to home are tough on the books because I currently use Ziploc bags. Books are damaged, lost and not properly taken care of as a result of using Ziploc bags.

With these portable Sort & Store Book Totes I know the travel between home and school will be much smoother.

I know that every minute a child spends emerged in reading is valuable to their development as a reader and a life long learner!
