Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students need a home away from home, somewhere where they can feel safe and comfortable. This is absolutely imperative if I want to witness my students grow each and everyday! In order for them to be able to achieve this goal, they must feel comfortable in their environment.
My students are a wonderful group of achievers and they are always willing to try new adventures and tackle any obstacles that may get in their way.
They do need some help though, and this is where you come into play. They need flexible seating to help encourage collaboration among themselves, to feel a sense of community between each other and to have that feeling that they belong. I strongly believe that if a child feels welcomed and comfortable in their classroom, there is nothing that can hinder their learning experience.
My Project
These materials will make such a positive impact on all of my students' learning experience! I can't wait to see the expressions on their faces when they walk in the first day to see their classroom set up like a home.
One of my goals every year is to make sure each and every one of my students feels welcomed and comfortable in their classroom.
I know with the support of these wonderful items such as a dining table, stools, lap desks and a study table, I will be able to achieve that goal! Our students deserve the very best and I want to be able to give it to them!
